“Port Prim Art Fest is the most significant autumn cultural event in Burgas” – this is how the mayor of the city, Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, opened the seventh edition of the cultural forum yesterday. After him, Mrs. Petya Karamanska – marketing manager of Grand Hotel and SPA Primorets, who organized the art fest, took the floor. She thanked the citizens of Burgas for being a loyal audience and attending the events that are part of the program year after year. The place was the Burgas Art Gallery “Petko Zadgorski,” where the exhibition of Prof. Bozhidar Bonchev, Stefan Bozhkov, Kalia Kalcheva, Georgi Minchev and Angela Terzieva started at Port Prim. The beautiful paintings and sculptures will await visitors until 12.10.2024, no entrance fee is paid.
The guests had the opportunity not only to look at the exhibited works of art in the company of a glass of wine, but also to talk with their authors. As part of the first day of the festival, the evening continued a floor up in the same venue with a screening of two animated films. “Ballad about the self-proclaimed knight Zhelyazko and the fire-breathing dragon Dimcho” and “The Paper Minotaur” by the Bulgarian writers, artists and animators Penko and Sotir Gelevi were shown in front of the full hall. The beautiful painted tapes captivated both young and old with an interesting plot, narrative in verse, funny and thoughtful moments. Loud applause gave thanks for the painted stories and appreciated their value to the viewers.

– from 19.30 Maria Kasimova-Moase will stage her storytelling show “Red Star, block 28,” which, through personal stories, will bring the audience back to a special past time – that of “developed” socialism, as the older will remember and the young will learn the truth about many things.
