If you’re on the verge of buying a car, whether it’s new or second-hand, you might be wondering which are the most reliable cars on the market that you can focus your attention on? We get the answer from Dan Babu, the guest of the 7th edition of the “Priority Podcast” by ProMotor. He is one of the most trusted voices in the Romanian online when it comes to buying a car, his project “The Right Car” being watched by hundreds of thousands of car enthusiasts.
In Dan Babu’s view, reliable cars come first “those cars that have been driven well, i.e. those that have been driven a long way”. When we talk about the reliability of a car, it matters the most “how was that car driven and maintained”.
More or less surprisingly, Dan Babu believes that drivers who want first and foremost a reliable car when purchasing a car should turn their attention to Asian models. “Asian cars, in general, are very good on non-turbo petrol engines”he says.
Asian cars are the most durable
Trying to give some examples as well, the podcast guest brings up before all cars Toyota, Honda and Mazda, while also saying that these manufacturers “they have invested in technology so that their cars are durable”. Of course, there are also certain disadvantages of these models, Dan Babu giving as examples “Toyota buttons that look like they’re from 1998” or “pretty bad headlights on Japanese cars”.
Further, Babu avoids bringing up a European car brand that produces cars that excel in terms of reliability. However, if you really want to drive a European car, the expert Dan Babu also wanted to specify on this subject that “European manufacturers make good diesel cars”.
