A Million Miles Away
On the Amazon Prime platform, starting September 15, you will find a science-fiction drama about agricultural worker Jose Hernandez (Michael Peña), who goes into space. But the creative team also promises to point out the topic of migration, community lifestyle or perhaps inequality and the persistence associated with it.
Director and co-writer Alejandra Marquez Abella has previously worked on some episodes of the popular series Narcos: Mexico, where Michael also played. So let’s hope that their cooperation will work out similarly well in the event A Million Miles Away.

Love at First Sight
Romance movies can be (and often are) really big cheesy. On the other hand, there’s nothing wrong with watching something good on autumn evenings. Perhaps a picture could be one of them Love at First Sight. Hadley and Oliver meet in an airport waiting room and spend the long flight from New York to London together. But after landing, they lose sight of each other in the chaos of the airport. The question is whether they will be able to meet again.

Cassandro
This biopic should give you an insight into the not-quite-mainstream branch of sports. Wrestling has a long tradition in Mexico and is quite different from WWE, which also reached the Czech audience. Cassandro tells the story of Saúl Armendáriz, who created one of wrestling’s most famous characters.
The film is not only intended to be a behind-the-scenes look at the sport, but also shows how the discipline treated gay wrestlers. Cassandro already resonated at the Sundance festival, and according to the first reactions, you can especially look forward to Gael García Bernal’s performance.
