Speaking about today’s telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, Zelensky said that it was about the sixth package of sanctions that are being prepared in the EU, the negotiation process with Russia and the evacuation of our heroes from Azovstal.
“The evacuation mission continues and it is led by our military and intelligence officers. The most influential international mediators have been involved,” Zelensky said.

He also said that Macron had a substantive conversation about our European integration steps and consideration of the Ukrainian application for obtaining the status of a candidate for EU membership.
Zelensky noted that during today’s conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, first of all, it was about defense support for Ukraine, our cooperation at the EU level.
“I continue to gather as large an international audience as possible for Ukraine, so that our state is supported at all levels and that Russia is put under pressure at all levels. Information pressure, diplomatic, as well as cultural – that’s what we need. for freedom could rely, in particular, on the power of art,” Zelensky said.
He noted that today, during the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival, he reminded that it is necessary to openly and boldly defend freedom and fight dictatorship.
