As part of this classification, the names of 10,361 dogs and cats born from January 1, 2024 until August 8 were collected. The year 2024 is marked by the letter “V” which, although unusual, has inspired original choices of first names for our pets.
Since 1926 in France, the LOF (French Book of Origins) and the LOOF (Official Book of Feline Origins) have required an annual reference letter to name dogs and cats born during the year. But of course, nothing obliges you to follow this trend, you are free to choose the name of your new best friend!
