A severe tragedy befell the Tanevi family in Smolyan. Trendafil Tanev, known in the city as Trendy, died in Genoa, Italy. However, his family did not have the necessary amount of BGN 12,000 to collect his remains.
His wife and daughter are in constant contact with the Bulgarian embassy, Glas News reports. They need to leave urgently for body recognition. Trendy had many friends, a benevolent and ant-friendly road, say his daughter and the grieving young widow. They hope good people will help them in this difficult time.
The young man left a few days ago to work abroad after the reduction of work in restaurants due to the coronavirus. He was one of the best professional waiters in Pamporovo. Over the weekend Trendafil bought a bus ticket from Almonte / Spain / to Sofia. However, his daughter lost contact with him on the day he traveled to his home, SmolyanBGvesti reported. Worried, his family called the Union Ivkoni bus company. From there they succinctly explained that they had dropped him off at the bus station in Genoa (Italy). He started rioting, wanting to hurt himself and scared the other passengers. That’s why he was taken off the bus, even though he had a ticket.

She and her mother immediately went to the Smolyan police and Trendafil was declared wanted nationwide. The next day, they were told they had found him in Genoa, who had died in an accident.
“We will still seek responsibility and answers from the bus company as to why they dumped him like a dog on the street without calling anyone. Now the most important thing is to take him home,” said his daughter.
