Liberal MP Florin Roman, who became notorious for his nude busts in an attempt to hang women, is upset that some Romanians are still having children. This, given that, in 2020, the fewest Romanian children have been born since 1930.
Roman issues a new theory, one as embarrassing as it is dangerous. According to his thinking as a parliamentarian, “many in the rural area have many children and the allowance becomes the main source of income for the family, which does not go to the child’s education.” Roman says the money ends up in the area of alcohol and tobacco consumption, and offering food, travel, clothing vouchers could be a good solution.
“I come from real Romania and I confirm to you that what you say, these suspicions, exist especially in the rural area, where last week I was talking, for example, with an animal breeder who told me that no one comes to work anymore, although for the rural area offered a grandfather’s salary, accommodation and products, two meals a day, because many in the rural area, especially from vulnerable categories, resort to this procedure you are talking about, make many children and of course the allowance becomes the main form source of income for the family, which does not go to the child’s education, but goes very often – of course, we should not generalize, but we see, if we go to the area of those pubs in the villages, which are well known by the locals, that many among those who benefit from these advantages, who should go strictly to children, end up in the area of alcohol and tobacco consumption or so on “, said Florin Roman, on Monday, on B 1 TV.
According to him, “what the European Union wanted is a very clear and good thing”.
“The moment you give those food, travel, clothing vouchers, then you reach the main goal of the action, in the sense that those things reach the children”, added the liberal, stating that he is working with Violeta Alexandru on a project in this sense.
“As for the allowances, I offered my colleagues a solution for paying the allowances, because any parent knows that the money is never enough to raise a child, because the needs are very, very high. I am very sorry, I say it to you, I said it inside, it is not the problem of the Government, it is the problem of the Parliament, because this increase of allowances, pensions, salaries in the public sector comes from the parliamentary area “, also stated Florin Roman.
Ludovic Orban announced that the allowances will increase on January 1, 2022.
