The previous record was shattered and – as of now – surpassed by more than 150 million views.
As Hirschaider explains, the reel was published while on holiday, so to speak: “We posted it, actually on holiday in South Tyrol. We were hiking and then thought we’d post it now,” he reveals News5.
“Absolutely awesome”: 80 million views after just two hours
Then he didn’t look again until two hours later, says Luft. “We had 80 million views. It went through the roof. Absolutely crazy.”
Can the video break the billion mark? Luft is unsure: “We would like that. But […] it doesn’t rise as quickly anymore. So I’m not sure if this will still work.”
