Travelers can still use a summer month for little money and travel throughout Germany, for example to the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. The beautiful days by the sea, the fine sandy beaches and the relaxation without doing anything attract you. And this for only 9 euros, because there is still one month left to use the economic offer of regional transport.
The travel reporter presents a selection of Baltic and North Sea destinations that can be easily reached on foot from the train station. In addition to some other rules, users only need to make sure that they only use second-class regional trains. The ticket also covers regional express trains, S-Bahn, U-Bahn and trams, as well as buses and some ferries.

The historic center is part of the Unesco World Heritage. Stralsund’s Old Town Island, which is surrounded by water, has 520 individual monuments. Its medieval layout has been almost completely preserved. Attractions include the old market with the town hall, the Nikolaikirche, the city walls and the historic harbor warehouses.
Of course, the Baltic Sea can also be enjoyed in Stralsund. It takes about 30 minutes on foot from Stralsund train station to the beach with its fine sand.
scold
The steep coast, the chalk cliffs and the Baltic resort of Binz attract visitors to Rügen. The Baltic town of Binz can be reached by regional trains from Rostock and via Stralsund. From the last stop in Ostseebad Binz it is a good 15 minute walk to the five kilometer long sandy beach, which receives the “Blue Flag” annually for its good beach and water quality. Here you will also find the 370-meter-long pier, the second largest on the island.
The Baltic resort of Binz also attracts architectural attention: magnificent spa-style buildings such as the Klünder House and Villa Meeresgruß characterize the urban landscape. Anyone with a head for heights can enjoy the panoramic view from the Adlerhorst viewing platform in the 40-meter-high Bay of Binz and, in good weather, also discover the spiers of Stralsund.
By the way: the Rügensche Bäderbahn can also be used with the 9 euro ticket. And if you want to take a ride on the Mecklenburg Molli spa train, you can use the steam train from Bad Doberan train station. There are bus and train connections from Rostock or Wismar. Travelers come to the Baltic resort of Kühlungsborn with a special attraction.
Use
The natural paradise of Usedom can also be reached from Stralsund. Once on Usedom, the Usedomer Bäderbahn connects the seaside resorts with each other. For example, you can reach the imperial baths of Heringsdorf, Ahlbeck and Bansin. The beaches are easily reachable from all the railway stations of the seaside resorts in 10-20 minutes.
On the island of the sun, as it is also called, the sun shines an average of 1906 hours per year. The beaches of the beauty of the island, which belongs to a small extent to Poland, appear infinitely far and wide. 42 kilometers long, like a marathon and up to 70 meters wide, the fine sand, dunes and unspoiled nature evoke a holiday feeling from the very first second.
