The number of mortgages constituted on dwellings in Spain stood at 36,721 last AugustAnd 10.5% more that in the same month of 2021, with which he adds 18 months and up, according to data published this Wednesday by the National Statistics Institute (INE). The average amount of these mortgages was € 145,287, 5.4% more than a year earlier, and the borrowed capital reached € 5.33 million, 16.4% more than in August 2021.
For what concern average amount of mortgages out of the total number of companies registered in the real estate registers in August (from public deeds previously carried out) it was 154,679 euros, 1.5% more than a year earlier but 4% less than in July.
By nature of the farm, Mortgages established on homes represented 71.8% of the total capital loaned, reaching 7,248.3 million euros, 12.7% more than in August 2021; in homes, the capital loaned was 5,335.1 million, which represents an annual increase of 16.4%.
As for the interest ratesfor home loans, the average rate was 2.52% and the average duration was 24 years; 28.1% of home loans are at variable rates and 71.9% at fixed rates. For mortgages established on all properties in August, the average initial interest rate was 2.67% and the average duration was 23 years; 30.6% of mortgages are at a variable rate and 69.4% at a fixed rate.
