The Morrás bike path, a brave bet not without risks
The size, the orography and the climate make Vila a perfect place for cycling to be an alternative means of transport to the car. The Deputy Mayor for Mobility, Aitor Morras, is determined to promote its use with a public bike rental service and with a two-way bike lane in Bartomeu Roselló and Ignasi Wallis. It is a brave bet of the Vila City Council, not without risks due to the parking spaces that will be lost.
Lack of liquidity, a serious problem for companies
The loans granted by ISBA with the endorsement of the Government in the year of the coronavirus to the self-employed and SMEs of the Islands have tripled compared to the previous year. The lack of economic activity has resulted in a lack of income and liquidity. However, the expenses continue. There are many businesses that with minimum daily boxes have to continue to pay taxes and rent, among others. Many businesses have depleted reserves and the lack of liquidity will be a constant in the year that has just begun.
