TIMNA Morocco managed to advance to the semifinals World Cup 2022 and will face France. This surprised many, but unlike the others, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was not surprised by the brilliant performance of the Atlas Lions, nicknamed Morocco.

As it is known, Morocco made a surprising appearance during the 2022 World Cup. The Atlas Lions will also face France in the semifinals on Thursday (15/12/2022) at 02:00 WIB at Al Bayt Stadium, in Qatar.

Morocco made history as the first African team to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup. With this achievement, Hakim Ziyech and colleagues have managed to dispel many people’s doubts.

However, Ibrahimovic said he isn’t too surprised by the Atlas Lions’ results. According to him, Walid Reragugui’s team really deserved a ticket to the semi-finals because they played well.

“I don’t think it’s a surprise because I knew they were good before the World Cup. So it’s clear that anything can happen in the World Cup,” Ibrahimovic said, quoted by the Daily Mail on Tuesday (12/13/2022).

“The fact that they (Morocco) reached the semi-finals, perhaps a little surprised, but remember this is a good team, a good nation. And I think people like these surprises; they enjoy it because they want these things to happen so that you have some sort of extra adrenaline rush.” Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
