The Monza Rally will take place from December 4 to 6, and the crew of Latvian pilot Mārtiņš Sesks and coxswain Renārs Frančs will compete for the title of JWRC champion.
In the last stage, motorists will have the opportunity to win one and a half times more points than in the normal stage, and those who have participated in all stages will not be considered for the worst race result.
After several changes to the calendar, the last, fourth, race of the JWRC season was scheduled for November 20-22 in Belgium, but with the cancellation of the WRC stage, the juniors in Ipra will not go on the track either.
Before the last stage, the crew of Seska and Renārs Frances takes the leading position in the overall JWRC rating. Sesks overtakes Tom Christenson from Sweden by ten points in the overall standings, but in the last stage the pilots can reach 60.5 points, so several crews can be considered as candidates for the title.
At the beginning of the JWRC season, Sesks won the second place in Sweden, but this summer he was the first in Estonia, taking care of Latvia’s first JWRC victory in history. In the previous stage, which took place in October in Sardinia, Sesque was third.
Last year, Sesk had a debut year driving a front-wheel drive Ford Fiesta R2 at the World Junior Championships. In JWRC class in 25 stages Seska’s crew managed to finish in the top three, in the stages the victory was won in three rallies.
