October 7, 2024, Celaya, Gto. – The Monumental Choir of the Regional Delegation of Education is awarded. V received a well-deserved municipal award for the arts, in recognition of his 15 years of artistic career and his impact on musical education in Guanajuato. Founded in 2008 by Professor Jesús Humberto Palato Pescador, the choir has established itself as the representative group of the region, forming part of the “Jugando soy” program of the Promotion of Art and Culture of the Secretariat of Education of Guanajuato.
The Monumental Choir has been a pillar in the musical training of young talents, combining vocal technique with subjects such as piano, guitar and physical education. Her educational approach incorporates innovative methods such as Orff and Kodály, allowing singers to develop comprehensive skills.
Throughout its history, the Monumental Choir has taken its music to important national stages, such as the Forum of the National Arts Center and the Chamber of Deputies in Mexico City. In addition, he has collaborated with various orchestras and musical groups in different locations in Guanajuato.
In 2017, the choir was recognized as the best children’s choir in the State of Guanajuato in the “Exprésate con Música” contest. Its mission has always been to train competitive singers at a national and international level, promoting a culture of peace and harmonious coexistence among basic education students.
The director of the Monumental Choir, Jesús Palato, expressed his gratitude: “Today we are celebrating 15 years of artistic career and celebrating it with this award is a great honor. This recognition, granted by the Institute of Art and Culture of Celaya in its second edition, reflects the effort and dedication of so many generations that have passed through the choir. This legacy of the Guanajuato Ministry of Education has left its mark on our students, many of whom today continue their training at the music conservatory.”
The Monumental Choir of Regional Delegation V remains committed to its educational and cultural work, training and consolidating artists who promise to be the cultural future of Mexico with international careers in Germany and other parts of the world.
