In the 70s and 80s many young people formed groups. The Montalbanais, of this generation, undoubtedly remember the Typhoid group (1979-85). This was composed of: Jean-Paul Trinquier (vocals), nicknamed Tintin at the time, current nickname “Janiel”, and who left the group at the end of 1980, Christian Audibert (guitar), nicknamed Led Zep, who made likewise 1979; by Jean-Paul Barthélémy Lougarre (drums, backing vocals), nicknamed Barthélémy, current nickname Bartolosa, who left the group at the end of 1981, by Patrick Boudjema (bass, backing vocals), current nickname “Pick It”, who will remain until the end of the group in 1985, and Jean-Marc Bouysset (guitar, backing vocals), nicknamed Jimi, who remained until the end of the group in 1985.
Since 2001, Jimi has been part of the Jimi and Arnaud duo (guitar-percussion duo), formed around his tinnitus disability, he self-produces the titles in his personal home studio where he works in parallel with his role as a school teacher.
Three CDs have been released: Portabilisons-nous bien, le Merry-go-round, Tours. Since 2015, new titles are no longer released in physical form, they can be found exclusively on video on the Youtube channel “Jimi et Arnaud Officiel”*.
