Bad news for current account holders. Starting from January 1, 2021, in fact, we have to deal with new rules that could jeopardize liquidity and even salaries.
From January 1, 2021 the new rules of theEba that could question the money of account holders. Automatic debits, for example, are no longer allowed in the event that the customer does not have sufficient cash on his bank deposit.
But not only that, you also risk having to deal with the blocking of utility payments, loan installments and even salaries. Furthermore, after three months of non-payment, with an amount exceeding 100 euros, the credit institution must report the customer in question to central risks.

Current accounts, money at risk: beware of the new rules
The new rules envisaged by the EBA, the European banking authority, therefore, risk having a not indifferent impact on holders of current accounts.
