Each of the 500 packages distributed was accompanied by a card from Minister Komitova, Trud has learned.

All these “armagans” from the “good minister” were paid with the taxpayers’ money, not from Komitova’s pocket. For this purpose, an order was placed with an event company. Just under BGN 30,000 were paid for the packages.

Money was distributed separately to each of the officials in the regional ministry. The DMSs (DMSs – additional material insurance) were of much higher value than the “modest gifts” of the “grateful” Komitova.

At the same time, the Ministry headed by Komitova and its wards owe more than BGN 900 million to construction companies and refuse to pay them for the activities carried out on time and in quality, according to the signed legal contracts.

The report of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDPW), published on the website of the ministry, shows that since March no money has been paid for current repairs and maintenance, despite the signed contracts. Thus, the BGN 687 million provided for this purpose in the budget of the department “evaporates without a trace”, and it is not clear from the report whether this money is spent on expenses such as the distribution of goose liver to employees or returned to the treasury instead of pay to road construction companies. The fact that Komitova is used to spending state money as her own is also shown by the scandal with the two guest houses built for her and her daughter by the sea with European money.

Komitova has headed the construction ministry since May 11th. She has repeatedly stated that the road repairs in our country are a scam, but at the same time fired the head of the Road Infrastructure Agency Apostol Minchev because he allowed himself to stop these orders, on her orders. The road agency has letters from the end of July from their principal, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, with the explicit requirement that the contracts for current repairs and maintenance be extended.

Throughout the summer, these contracts were worked on, and after a “face-to-face conversation” between the owner of one of the road companies and Komitova, only this company was transferred money for the work done.

So Komitova really blamed herself, because the repairs in the last 6 months are carried out with her approval, and at the same time she explains that the renovation of the roads is a robbery. The caretaker minister claims that the construction and repairs of roads carried out during her rule are illegal activities, but they are actually regulated by administrative acts, and Komitova herself tolerates and motivates this activity by making payments to companies whose owners are willing to see each other. “In private” with the caretaker regional minister.

With the onset of the winter season, the preconditions for accidents on them increase at least, because the light part of the day decreases by several hours, according to the EPA. In heavy rain, at night, visibility is greatly reduced, and axle marking is the only way for drivers to follow the road and literally not end up in a ditch. In this case, even this marking is missing on one of the busiest routes of the national transport network between Varna and Sofia. There are also unsecured dangerous sections of roads under repair in the area of ​​the municipalities of Ihtiman, Belovo and Kostenets. The road sections in question are in the final stages of rehabilitation, but cars are moving on them without any precautionary measures being taken. There is no light and reflective signaling.

The prices of the road sections have risen at least twice compared to the forecasts in 2018, Komitova pointed out. Thus, instead of BGN 370 million for the renovation of 76 sections, which were needed in 2018, the same activities were subsequently assigned, but for BGN 956 million. However, these contracts were implemented by the caretaker government and it did not terminate them. in the last 6 months, during which he has been leading the country.

Instead, Komitova waited for the renovations to be completed in the summer and told the builders that she would not pay them more than BGN 900 million.
