The police uncovered the murder case of a man with the initials K (20) who was dumped in Kali Ulu, Karang Bahagia, Bekasi Regency, West Java wrapped in tarpaulin. Here are the seconds murder that vile.
Bekasi City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Gidion Arif said that initially, the perpetrator and the victim knew each other from Facebook. Then the perpetrator and the victim agreed to meet on Sunday (27/3).
“They met through Facebook a week ago, witness R and the victim came to the perpetrator’s warehouse to pawn their car to the perpetrator,” said Gidion at a press conference on Friday (1/4/2022).
The perpetrator suspected an unpleasant odor in the mineral water bottle in the warehouse. Then VM accuses K of putting drugs into the contents of the mineral water bottle.
“According to the information, it was the victim who mixed the medicine, so the suspect didn’t know what the medicine was. He just suspected it was a drug mixed with a drink,” he said.
The victim who did not accept finally scolded the suspect and pushed him. The suspect was furious and then slammed the victim into unconsciousness.
Suspect dumps victim in river
The suspect panicked because the pulse of the victim he had just slammed was not there. The perpetrator then wrapped the victim with a tarp and tied it with a tile. Then the perpetrator threw the victim’s body into the Ulu River.
“There was a spontaneous intention (from the suspect) to dispose of the body in Kali Ulu at around 04.30 in the morning, by wrapping the vehicle, wrapping the body in a tarp, tied up, then given tile weights,” he said.
Allegedly the victim was still alive before being dumped into the river
Gidion said there was a possibility that the victim was still alive before being dumped into Kali Ulu by VM. This is known from the results of the visa data.
“From the laboratory results, the post-mortem results show that the body died from drowning. So, the characteristics are that the lungs are wet and then filled with water. So the death is in the water,” he said.
Police Arrested Perpetrator
K’s body was found by residents on Tuesday (29/3) at 13.20 WIB while going fishing in Ulu River. The police then conducted an investigation and arrested the perpetrator on Wednesday (30/3) in his warehouse.
“The joint team of Opsnal Polda Metro Jaya, Polrestro Bekasi and Polsek Cikarang in less than 22 hours secured the suspect in his warehouse in the Kampung Kepuh area,” he said.
The perpetrator is now subject to Article 338 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 15 (fifteen) years in prison.
