President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi traveled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this morning to participate in the first Arab-Chinese summit, which will be held in the capital Riyadh.
Ambassador Bassam Rady, official spokesman of the Presidency of the Republic, declared: “The President’s participation in the Arab-Chinese summit is part of Egypt’s desire to strengthen and develop the illustrious historical relations between the Arab countries and China as well as in a way that effectively contributes to efforts to strengthen joint action mechanisms to achieve common interests.” The summit will aim to build on the broad political dialogue between the two sides, as well as consultation and coordination on ways to maximize mutual cooperation prospects at economic and development levels, as well as discuss efforts to maintain regional security and stability and international.
The spokesperson added that the president’s schedule would also include holding a series of bilateral meetings with leaders attending the Riyadh summit to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations, as well as discuss the latest developments in regional and international arenas.
