The Moment A Number of 212 Masses Refused to Disband, Had Stepped on Jokowi’s Poster

The 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA) demonstration has left the demonstration site at the Horse Statue, Central Jakarta (Jakpus). When they left the location, some of the protesters stepped on a poster with a picture of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Monitoring detik.com At the location, Friday (25/3/2022), some of the protesters were involved in tension with police officers. A number of masses refused to leave the Horse Statue even though the command car had already left the demonstration site.

Chaos was unavoidable so that both parties had time to push each other. The crowd continued to shout words for the police to open the way because they were going to the Merdeka Palace.

Some of the mass participants of the PA 212 action were also seen throwing bottles of mineral water at the police. Shortly after, the police put up a roadblock (barrier) orange color plastic.

Then, some of the masses were seen throwing posters with pictures of President Jokowi. Some of the masses then stepped on Jokowi’s face on the poster.

The poster reads ‘Failure to Manage the State’. In addition, the poster reads ‘Jokowi Resigns’. Above Jokowi’s face is the words ‘Alliance Save Indonesia’.

The crowd who brought motorbikes and parked them around the demonstration site then went away from the Horse Statue. They followed the commando car that left the location first.

At that time, a number of officers handling public infrastructure and facilities (PPSU) came to clean up the garbage at the demonstration site. A number of people also participated in cleaning up the garbage.

They seem to put garbage in plastic bags (trash bag). Gradually, the entire mass left the location.

After that the police also left the Horse Statue area.

The masses submitted 5 demands, namely arresting the perpetrators blasphemyresolve the Km 50 shooting case, there is no criminalization of clerics and activists, save Indonesia from the oligarchy, and eliminate Islamophobia.

At this time the mass of action had left the Horse Statue. The orange squad has also cleaned up the waste from the demo. The situation at the location is now conducive. Traffic flow is also back to normal.
