Uma (26) from Kortrijk
Someone else had almost stood in this place. Uma suffers from procrastination and almost didn’t register as a result. She is one of the youngest candidates and teaches in secondary education. She teaches English, music and occasionally even religion. Although she still has to get the bishop’s blessing to do so.
Anke (32) from Mechelen
Participate as a professional sleuth in The mole† A breeze, you might think. Anke worked for seven years in the criminal investigation department and, moreover, does not like slowness and loitering. She takes a direct approach and talks as fast as she thinks. However, she also has a softer side. She recently wrote a book with craft ideas for young moms. If the candidates ever need to use their creativity to get out of a plight, they know who to turn to for help.
Emmanuelle (35) from Genk
‘Manu voor de Vrienden’ lives with her husband and three children in Genk, but was born on the exotic São Gonçalo near Rio de Janeiro. In addition to fluent Limburgish, she also speaks a little Portuguese. Her dream is to one day start a travel agency.
Nele (47) from Melsele
The second teacher of the group. Although Nele is not in secondary education, but in primary education. She teaches sixth grade students. But she’s also a self-proclaimed mistress of traps. She is a bit clumsy. Or, as she calls it herself, loemp† After a day of teaching she likes to listen to Rammstein, Iron Maiden or Metallica.
Gretel (51) from Damme
One can only hope that Gilles De Coster has not foreseen any assignments in a dark forest, because Gretel has a holy fear of that. Perhaps because you don’t see a hand in front of your eyes there, because in daily life she is an optician. She is the oldest candidate, but in sporting terms she should certainly not be inferior to the rest. She is in a cycling club and enjoys jogging.
Show (19) from Vorselaar
The youngest member of the group celebrated his nineteenth birthday while filming in Lanzarote. And if we are to believe Play4, there was some tequila involved. Toon is a true scout and dreams of becoming a film director. But that’s future music. At the time of his participation he was still studying nursing, but in the meantime he has switched to an educational bachelor.
Yens (27) from Barcelona
His heart is still in Westerlo, but he now lives in Barcelona. Under the Spanish sun, with tapas and a glass of sangria within reach, Yens works there as an account manager. He also scours flea markets in search of undiscovered treasures. After all, his dream is to open his own art gallery in the future. The only thing he didn’t like are the Spanish dances. Bolero, flamenco or paso doble, he says he is terrible at it. Even at techno parties he is looked at strangely.
Sven (30) from Denderleeuw
This copywriter can open his own zoo in his garden. There are, among others, alpacas, donkeys, pigs and guinea pigs. He leaves his mini-farm in the safe hands of his girlfriend and one-year-old daughter to look for another beast: the mole. Only one thing can get him off his milk: clowns. He is very afraid of that. We are sure that the editors of the program have taken this into account.
Philippe (34) from Vrasene
It’s not the first time this physiotherapist makes an appearance in The mole† Remember the start of last season, when a series of masked attackers got the chance to take the place of one of the candidates. Philippe was one of those contenders, but just had to give up on the Kortrijk Noah. Time for revenge, then.
Bert (45) from Kasterlee
He currently works as an arborist, but this world traveler has already lived a thousand and one lives. We give you a small anthology. Take a deep breath. He studied philosophy, played didgeridoo on the record of a Nepalese band, traveled through Europe by motorcycle, lived in a forest for a while, stood on the catwalk in Paris and once played a DJ set at Pukkelpop. There is already plenty of discussion material over there in the Canary Islands.
