Although Lada is officially withdrawing from European markets, its cars can still be purchased through unofficial importers. Thanks to this, the recently modernized Lada 4×4 also came to the Czech Republic.

The Lada 4×4 (also known as the Niva) is one of the legends of the automotive world. Offroad Russian brands have been produced since 1977, but they are definitely not going to retire yet. For 2020, there is even a modernized version again, the first copies of which have already arrived in the Czech Republic.
The Russian brand is officially withdrawing from European markets, due to emission standards, but there are still companies that can import, homologate and offer their cars for sale. One of them on the Czech market is, for example, the Brno company CanoCar, which has already imported the modernized Lada 4×4 for us this year as well. The first copies are already waiting to be handed over to customers.

Modernization of Lady 4×4 for 2020 primarily concerns its interior. Inside, a brand new dashboard appeared with controls taken from the Priora model and a new instrument panel with a trip computer taken from Renault, Lady’s longtime partner.
The changes focused primarily on higher quality materials and ergonomics. Ventilation and air conditioning are now controlled by rotary knobs, and light controls are also rotary. The fan has four speeds instead of the existing two and is quieter, in addition, exhausts leading air to the feet have been added. Thanks to the new concept of the dashboard, the compartment in front of the passenger is larger and practically divided into two parts.

In addition, the Russian off-road received a fabric-upholstered ceiling. The interior lighting is then newly diode, and there is also an e-call emergency call system. The seats then received new upholstery and upholstery, the inclination is then adjusted with a robust rosette.

On the contrary, not much has changed from the outside. The Urban-oriented variant with plastic bumpers received front fog lamps, while the five-door model received more angular mirrors, which the three-door version has been using for two years. Also new are 16 “alloy wheels.
The engine also underwent only the most necessary changes. The drive is therefore taken care of by a 1.7-liter atmospheric four-cylinder, tuned to 61 kW at 5,000 rpm, which meets the Euro 6d TEMP-EVAP-ISC emission standard. Emise CO2 they reach 243 g / km according to WLTP and the combined fuel consumption is 10.3 l / 100 km.
