The mobile unit to donate blood returns next week to Rota for a new blood collection.

The mobile unit of the Transfusion Center, Tissues and Cells of Cadiz will be back in Rota next week to continue with the blood collections that are necessary so that the reserves in hospitals do not decline and can continue to serve patients who need this resource for a better quality of life.

Therefore, a new appeal is made to blood donors to come on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 February to donate blood. This is a gesture of solidarity that depends on each person and that helps hospitals to care for patients in need.

It is very important to incorporate new donors into the system to compensate for the people who are regular donors and cannot donate more, since there is a maximum quota per year of four times if you are a man and three times if you are a woman. In addition, it is necessary to wait at least two months between donations, so the arrival of new people to donate their blood is important to compensate.

The requirements are simple, be between 18 and 65 years old (up to 60 if it is the first time you donate), weigh at least 50 kilos and be in good health.

In Rota, the mobile unit to donate blood will be on Tuesday February 15 in the San José de Calasanz schools, and Wednesday 16 in the school Maestro Eduardo Lobillo, in both cases, from 17.30 to 21.30 hours.
