The mission in the Czech Crime Boss may not end in success » Vortex

Several months have passed since the announcement of the game Crime Boss: Rockay City by the Czech studio InGame. In the meantime, we were able to watch the first trailer, a sample from a shootout, and finally you could listen to the author of the title, Jarek Kolář, in an interview in our vidcast. Now the developers are starting a new series of videos, in which they want to familiarize the players more closely with how Crime Boss works and give them an insight into the structure and progression of individual missions. The first trailer is called Lost Candy and in it you will follow the main character Travis Baker with the voice and face of the actor Michael Madsen, as he loses his shipment of drugs during a failed operation on the bridge.

Everything unfolds in a short cutscene in which Baker talks about the drug delivery with the character Casey, played by actress Kim Basinger for a change. Subsequently, there is a twist that the transport is raided by a group of rival gangster Hiel (Vanilla Ice) and immediately the action itself starts. A wild shootout takes place on the relatively limited area of the highway around the hastily abandoned cars, but ends in failure. However, as Jarek Kolář indicated in our interview, Crime Boss: Rocky City should expect that something will go wrong and offer an alternative solution. He then approaches him at the end after another short cutscene, and it seems that the whole problem will be solved by attacking Hiel’s warehouse, where the drugs were moved from the highway.

As can be seen in the video, matters that may not have been so clear beforehand – especially after the first trailer – are beginning to be revealed quite concretely. The game does not offer free movement around the city, so any confusion with GTA-type actions is out of place. On the other hand, she will not miss the story, which is proven not only by the cutscenes, but also by the cast of well-known actors, which the developers want to make full use of. So if the result should be a mixture of movies and action that serves as a denouement in the cutscene of the event in progress, then everything could work fully. As for the actual gameplay, the reception is quite contradictory so far, and players in the comments point to the weaker technical processing or the limited space of the mission selected for the current demo. Of course, impressions can change not only during the marketing campaign with a peak on March 28, when the title will be released, but also during actual gameplay and the discovery of all elements and mechanisms.
