The footballers of SK Slovan Bratislava have been cutting for two weeks as part of the winter preparation for the spring part. However, one of the important figures of autumn is missing.
Ramírez did not participate in winter training
Without the goals of Venezuelan striker Eric Ramírez, there would be no Conference League group. In the playoff against Zrinjski Mostar, he first arranged overtime and at the end of it sent the duel to a shootout. Slovan managed it and, thanks to the first place in the regular part, won participation in the round of 16 of the third most prestigious cup competition.
However, Ramírez is missing in the preparation for the spring season. To the editorial office SPORT.sk word came that he had not returned from his vacation in South America. A source familiar with the events at the club confirmed to us that he did not participate in the winter training. The player is also missing from the training footage on the official website of the Whites. The news is already spreading on social networks. SPORT.sk asked ŠK Slovan for an opinion, which we will publish on our website.
Weiss: Good boy, he’s just Latino
During the autumn, Ramírez played 28 matches in the league and European cups. He scored 6 goals, including the winner at home against Pjunik Yerevan, when Slovan was threatened with the end of the group.
“He’s a goal scorer and a guy like a mountain, he’s made for fights. Inside is a good boy with a good heart, but also an expert. I am strict with him. He has potential, he’s just Latin American, he needs to work harder to be an even bigger soccer player. I believe it will still take off,” he said about Ramírez in October, coach Vladimír Weiss st.
Only four Slavists are more expensive
Ramírez is in Slovan on loan until the end of the season from Dynamo Kyiv. Part of the agreement is an option for a permanent transfer, but according to information SPORT.sk due to the high amount, it is disadvantageous for the club and the striker’s stay at Tehelno polí is currently unlikely.
The specialized portal Transfermarkt estimates his price at 900,000 euros. Only Tigran Barsejjan, Giorgi Čakvetadze, Jaromír Zmrhal and Juraj Kucka have a higher market value in the Slovan squad.
Ramírez headed to Ukraine the year before last in the summer from Dunajská Streda as the second best scorer in the league after Dawid Kurminowski. However, he did not make his mark in Dynamo or on loan in the Spanish second division Gijón. Before that, he also worked in Senica and Karvina.
Slovan also lost a player the year before last
Moroccan winger Mohammed Rharsalla, known by the nickname Moha, was a mover for Slovan in the spring of 2021. However, he disappeared from the lineup in the middle of the superstructure. “I just haven’t seen him for the last three days,” he answered then coach Darko Milanič, why he didn’t play against Žilina. On the day of the match, Moha posted on the social network from his home in Granada, Spain.
He never played for the club again, termination of cooperation they solved Slavan’s lawyers. Since then he has worked in two Saudi Arabian clubs, in Morocco and is currently a player of the last team of the second Turkish league Genclerbirligi.
