Krefeld / Mönchengladbach / Rhine district Neuss / district Viersen. The joint project “MINT in Mind” aims to inspire young people in the Middle Lower Rhine region (Krefeld, Mönchengladbach, Rhein-Kreis Neuss, Kreis Viersen) for MINT. MINT stands for mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology.
The project aims to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in the region in the medium term. A company survey should therefore be carried out at the start of the project. The aim of the “MINT in Mind” survey is to record the requirements of the companies on future trainees in MINT professions and accordingly to expand the extracurricular MINT offers for young people in the Middle Lower Rhine region.
All companies in the Middle Lower Rhine region (City of Krefeld, City of Mönchengladbach, District of Viersen, Rhein-District of Neuss.) That offer MINT apprenticeships are invited to take part in the survey. Against the background of the increasing need for qualified specialists, you can also benefit from this yourself.
In addition to the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, the project partners are the City of Krefeld, School, Pedagogical and Psychological Service, Center for Digital Learning Worlds, the City of Mönchengladbach, Children, Youth and Family Department, the zdi-Center KReMINTec eV at the Uerdingen Vocational College, the Mönchengladbach Business Development Agency (WFMG) GmbH with the zdi-Zentrum Mönchengladbach and the regional agency Middle Lower Rhine. The project is part of the “Regional Clusters for MINT Education of Young People” measure and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for a period of three years.
Participation in the survey is possible until May 27th using the QR code or the website https://ww2.unipark.de/uc/MINT_in_Mind/ possible.
