The Ministry of Youth signs its 4th joint annual work plan with the UNS

The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and the United Nations System (UNS), represented by six of its agencies: UNFPA, UNESCO, UNICEF, UNDP, UNHCR and UN Women, signed on Wednesday March 5 the fourth annual joint youth work plan.

This dynamic of joint action began in 2020 in the midst of a pandemic, with the aim of better coordinating cooperation work on youth in Morocco, through programs and initiatives, aligned with the country’s priorities in education. , health, employment and youth participation.

This joint work aims to help achieve the vision of the New Development Model 2021-2035 and is part of the guidelines of the framework plan for cooperation between the Moroccan government and the United Nations System for Sustainable Development 2023-2027.

Aiming to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, this joint work plan on youth focuses on four main axes. The first axis concerns support for the sectoral strategy of the Youth Department, for the implementation of the vision of the new generation of youth centers, with in particular the implementation of pilot projects at the level of youth structures and the accreditation of non-governmental organizations working in favor of young people in these establishments. The second component of intervention focuses on modeling and scaling up programs and interventions with young people on innovation and social entrepreneurship. The third focuses on the design of research models, with a view to improving the development and implementation of development plans and strategies at the territorial level. As for the fourth and last axis, it aims to strengthen gender mainstreaming in programs for young people.
