The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training announces the creation of an emergency cell on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. This cell aims to coordinate the actions of the said ministry at the national level, with a view to assessing the damage caused by the earthquake of August 14, to educational structures and urgent needs to facilitate the resumption of school activities, as soon as possible.
Port-au-Prince Prince August 24, 2021.- This emergency cell of the Ministry of National Education is made up of Jackson Joseph, representative of the general management, Bayard Lapommeray representative of the studies unit, Hudson Jean Jean Baptiste representative of the Cabinet of the Minister and Idson Saint Fleur representative of the Communication Unit among others.
This unit’s mission is to coordinate the actions of the ministry at the national level in order to assess the damage caused to educational structures, the loss of human life at the level of education personnel and urgent needs to allow the resumption of activities. schools as soon as possible.
It should also help develop a response plan for the education sector and facilitate the coordination of aid from national and international MENFP partners.
