The Ministry of Manpower in Indonesia has announced that it will consider stakeholder input for the development of the Domestic Workers’ Bill. The move comes as a follow-up to President Joko Widodo’s request for the manpower minister to coordinate with the House of Representatives (DPR) and stakeholders in forming legislation that promotes public participation. The government hopes that by accommodating the aspirations of relevant stakeholders, the Domestic Workers’ Bill will be effective in protecting the profession of domestic workers in Indonesia. The Ministry of Manpower welcomes input, feedback, and suggestions from all parties for the formation of the bill.
