The Ministry of Labor told how many times and when they will recalculate pensions and child benefits in Belarus

Minister of Labor Irina Kostevich said, speaking to deputies on October 31, the budget for 2024 provides for an increase in payments to the Social Security Fund by 15%. And this takes into account the recalculations of social benefits, pensions and children’s benefits.

According to the official, the income portion of the fund in 2024 is planned at the level of 28.2 billion rubles. While expenses will increase by 3.7 billion rubles to 27.8 billion rubles.

The majority of expenses will be pension payments (22 billion rubles, or 80% of all divorces). At the same time, the Ministry of Labor stated that they planned 4 recalculations of various social payments, which depend on the BPM. These include:

  • benefits for families with children,
  • social pensions,
  • age and other pension supplements,
  • benefits for caring for a disabled person of group I or a person who has reached 80 years of age.

The Ministry of Labor promised to recalculate monthly childcare benefits for children under 3 years of age on February 1 and August 1, 2024. Irina Kostevich also assured the deputies that she would increase pensions by 15%, but this is in general for the year.

Earlier, Telegraf reported that the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) published a resolution stating changes in tariffs for Belposhta services.
