The economic police is monitoring the spending of BGN 78 million provided by the government
On November 17 and 18, Interior Ministry officials did not visit universities in connection with the election process.
This is the response of the Ministry of Interior to accusations made by Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov in the pre-election debate with Rumen Radev.

“In order to use the provided budget funds, a letter from the Ministry of Education and Science recommended that universities prepare an advance payment of 100% of the value of contracts to contractors in the preparation and conduct of public procurement,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Officers of the Economic Police have requested from the universities the necessary documents related to concluded contracts, guarantees, payments and performed activity, as well as to the manner of the conducted procedures.
