The Ministry of Human Capital, through an investigation led by ANSES, has reported “fraud” in the process of processing the Pregnancy Allowance for Social Protection, due to irregularities in the presentation of the required documentation.
According to the official statement, the investigation, which was verified by the entity’s Directorate of Criminal Affairs, Investigations and Summaries, revealed the existence of “false documents and apocryphal medical certificates” that were intended to “fraudulently receive the allocation.”
ANSES professionals identified “several types of recurring irregularities in the PS 2.67 forms,” which are the requirements to access the assignment. Among these irregularities are medical certificates that do not include birth registration, among other cases.
The Ministry’s statement highlights that “there are applications for Pregnancy Allowance with false medical certificates in which, after the declared delivery date, no birth or termination of pregnancy was registered, presuming non-existent pregnancies. There was also simulation of pregnancy interruptions.”

In addition, ANSES has rejected several forms due to “notable inconsistencies,” such as “invalid medical registrations, erroneous stamps or CUIL, and certifications made by professionals without a license in obstetrics.”
The aforementioned forms have been withheld as they are considered part of an attempted fraud.
