The Ministry of Home Affairs Explains the Fate of DKI Residents’ ID Cards After Anies Changes 22 Street Names

Jakarta

Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan inaugurated the change of 22 street names in the capital city. Then what’s the fate population data inhabitant?

Ministry of Home Affairs (Ministry of Home Affairs) through the Director General of Dukcapil Zudan Arif Fakhrulloh explained that changes in regional data were related to changes in population administration data. So, later on, residents living at the changed address must update their population data.

“This all has implications, the upstream is the region, changes in regional data will have implications for changes in population administration data and public services. Now this is a normal thing, then for example like in DKI, if there is a change in road name, we make a new KK, KTP a new one is made, a new identity card is made,” said Zudan when contacted, Thursday (23/6/2022).

Zudan said that later the Ministry of Home Affairs wouldback up all needs related to population administration in the region. Such as providing additional e-KTP blanks.

“From the central government, back up area. Like DKI, we havebackup What will DKI need, what facilities need to be supported by a form of ID card from the center that will support it. Because this change has been well thought out, well thought out,” he said.

Zudan said that changing population data because the street names were changed did not require an introduction to the local RT/RW. He conveyed that Dukcapil officers would pick up the ball to residents requiring a change of population identity data free of charge.

“The community doesn’t need to worry, later it will be repaired, there is no need for an introduction to the RT/RW, it’s free. Later the task is to pick up the ball to come to the RT, come to the RW, or if you don’t find it, the community will immediately be given new documents,” he said.

“For example, in the past, Jalan Raya Bekasi-Jakarta was changed to Jalan Si Pitung, all you had to do was change the application. Later on, the public will enter new data. People don’t need to bring an RT/RW introduction, just come to Dukcapil, tell Sir, I used to have the address at here later-printout go to the new address, the KTP, the KK for the KIA children,” he continued.

Furthermore, Zudan conveyed that regional changes, both village divisions and district/city and provincial divisions were common in governance. Including the change in the name of the road that is currently being carried out by the DKI Provincial Government.

“In the practice of governance, regional change is a common thing, for example village expansion, sub-district expansion, district expansion, provincial expansion is called regional change. Then scope the smaller one is the street name change. The big thing is that we divide the province in Kaltara (North Kalimantan), which is close to Jakarta, West Java, to become Banten. Then if it’s small, there are a lot of sub-district divisions,” he added.
