Olivier Véran has in fact acceded to the request of Régions de France, the entity chaired by Renaud Muselier, to create regional vaccination management units.
Under the co-chairmanship of the Director General of the ARS and the Regional Prefect, they will bring together the presidents of the Region, Departments and Orders of physicians and pharmacists every week, to anticipate phases 2 and 3 of the vaccination campaign.
Seven other fallow proposals
“It is a first step which was necessary on the way of a territorialized campaign”, reacted Renaud Muselier, while regretting that seven other proposals emanating from the Regions remain at this stage dead letter.
In particular, the precise assessment of the vaccine doses available in the country, the differentiation of the vaccination strategy by prioritizing the departments that have exceeded the maximum alert rating, or even the possibility for the Regions – and employers of more than one hundred employees – to buy vaccines and make them available to all existing networks capable of vaccinating: nurses and private doctors, pharmacists, physiotherapists, midwives, etc.
