The Ministry of Health toughens sanctions

The Ministry of Health has ordered its directors of all wilayas in the country to start closing all private pharmacies that perform medical analyzes, “being contrary to the law regulating both professions in the same way”, and stressed the recruitment of inspection and surveillance teams to raid these pharmacies and impose maximum penalties against them.

Something that was denounced by the union of pharmacists the Snapo which warned against any “transgression”, against the pharmacist because of this activity “because it is a right enshrined in all the laws and decrees regulating the sector”, according to the union.

In its note, the Ministry of Health revealed that many private pharmacists carry out medical analyzes at their pharmacies, where the results are marked with the stamp “medical analysis laboratory”.

The services of the Ministry of Health have warned that this activity is in violation of the law and legislation governing the regulation and operation of private pharmacies and medical analysis laboratories, taking into account the specificity of each activity.

The inspection and surveillance teams have been ordered to raid private pharmacies, to dissuade pharmacists who perform medical analyzes, with the application of maximum penalties, and to close the pharmacy in the event of proof of these “transgressions”.
