–As part of the national vaccination campaign, the Minister of Public Health announced on April 18, 2021, the opening of 6 additional vaccination centers.
According to a press release from the ministry, the opening of these centers aims to strengthen the fight against the Coronavirus. The ministry also aims to increase the vaccination rate of citizens. It also intends to guarantee the administration of the vaccine in the best circumstances and to avoid overcrowding in the centers.
The 6 new centers are located in Grombalia, El Ouardia, El Jem, Menzel Bourguiba, Tajerouine and Al Metlaoui.
Thus, the number of centers reaches a total of 38. These centers are spread throughout the country.
Note that the same press release states that the ministry intends to open other additional centers.
The press release also notes that the mobile medical teams are continuing their work. They carry out the vaccination of the elderly in different homes and care institutions for the elderly. These teams coordinate the operation with the competent authorities and in partnership with the components of civil society.
Finally, the Ministry of Health called on people registered on EVAX the need to respect the time and date of their appointment for vaccination. This, according to the same source, ensures the effectiveness of the vaccination campaign and avoids congestion and waiting at the centers.
