The Ministry of Health reveals the devastating effects of climate change … the rise in temperature and the more evident shortage of food

The Ministry of Health and Population has announced the implementation of the medical insurance plan for the United Nations Climate Summit (COP27), which Egypt will host in Sharm El-Sheikh from 6 to 18 November.

This is part of the Egyptian state’s willingness to provide medical insurance for major events and activities taking place in the land of Egypt, in the interest of the health and safety of citizens and participating delegations of distinguished Egyptian guests.

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said the axes of the medical insurance plan for the conference included (therapeutic services, preventive measures, outpatient services, hospital services, informatics for health services), such as the plan aims to protect conference attendees from infection with various infectious diseases and to protect them from exposure to health crises and accidents by providing ambulances and emergency services in a timely manner, providing necessary treatment services to conference guests, as well as providing diagnostic tests and booking of illness cases in hospitals.
