In recent days, vaccination has saved 100-200 people from death, they say in the Ministry of Health. And in four months – 2,500.
The Ministry of Health calculated that in four months, vaccination against coronavirus saved about 2.5 thousand lives. Such data was announced by the head of the department Viktor Lyashko during an hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, October 22.
“The factor of vaccination over the past 4 months in Ukraine has saved 2,500 lives, and this is the size of the population of the city of Baturyn in the Chernihiv region,” he said.
Just yesterday, vaccinations saved 181 lives, he said. He claims that without vaccination yesterday the number of deaths from coronavirus would have been 795, and on October 20 – 707 people, but vaccination saved 161 lives, and on October 19 495 Ukrainians died from COVID-19, without vaccination this number would have increased to 638 people, then there are still 143 lives saved.
Lyashko also said that by the end of the year Ukraine will receive 16 million doses of vaccines. There is also a guarantee of supply for the next two years.
Note that over the past day a record 270 thousand vaccinations were made in Ukraine… Vaccinations accelerated after authorities banned travel in Ukraine unvaccinated.
