The Ministry of Health announces the launch of the field training program in epidemiology for One Health

She confirmed Ministry of Health and PopulationThe training work for the first cohort of the field training program for epidemiology in One Health has been launched, which is the first program in Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa, in collaboration with World Health Organization and Middle East Community Health Network (EMPHNET).

This training program comes under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Health and Population Implementing the One Health concept, it targets trainees from the Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Environment, Medicines Authority of Egypt, and Food Safety.

In his speech at the opening session of the program, Dr. Amr Kandil, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, said that the human health of Egypt is one of the most important priorities of the Egyptian state, and the One Health file is the focus of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, as One Health represents a model to integrate the arms of the Egyptian state, in the way to maintain the health security of the country.

For his part, Dr. Radhi Hammad, Head of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health, said that the preparatory steps for the start of the first group of the basic level of the program have been completed according to unified standards, and in co -ordinating with all partner organizations, which ended with the selection of 32 members to join the first group of the basic level, which includes ministries and concerned organizations.
