The Ministry of Health announces free surgeries as part of the initiative to end waiting lists

The Ministry of Health and Population announced the medical specialties included in the initiative of the President of the Republic to cancel waiting lists, explaining that performing surgeries is free as part of the initiative.

Here are all the details of the President’s initiative to end the waiting lists, and the specializations available within the initiative, as announced by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, in continuation of the series of services provided to the Ministry of Health and Population over the course of 24 hours.

This comes in light of the directives of the President of the Republic to quickly end the waiting lists for patients who underwent surgery and critical medical interventions, within a period of 6 months and without charge, taking into account critical cases.

Patient data is collected from all medical service providers in the country, in addition to monitoring and registering patients on waiting lists for surgical operations and critical medical interventions to begin immediately treating these cases and providing appropriate urgent medical care, taking into account critical cases.

The Ministry of Health announced the completion of 499771 surgeries, at the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to end the waiting lists, from its launch in July 2018 until Monday, September 15.
