The Thuringian Minister of Health Heike Werner has today in Erfurt the Second Thuringian Ordinance to update and extend the necessary measures to contain the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus signed.
With this shell regulation, Thuringia implements, on the one hand, the changes to the Thuringian special regulation proposed by the health committee of the state parliament; The adjustments will take effect on Sunday, November 8th, 2020.
Health Minister Heike Werner: “We said from the start: If the majority of the state parliament is in favor of changes to the special ordinance, we will take this into account. The exchange in Parliament was important and right at this point. I think the addition of an exception to the contact restrictions with a view to large families is very useful in order to avoid disadvantages. I am pleased that we can implement this so quickly. “
Sports Minister Helmut Holter: “We take up the demands of the state parliament to enable organized sports for children and young people wherever it is justifiable. Sport has a particularly important function in the pandemic, also and especially for children and young people. It is crucial, however, that hygiene rules eiand contacts are kept as low as possible. In the 4th men’s soccer league, we are harmonizing the regulations together with the other eastern German federal states so that there is no disadvantage within the cross-border league. “
Adjustments in the special regulation at a glance:
Large families are given greater consideration
From the contact restrictions in public space to a maximum of ten people, all children of “large families” who are not of legal age will be exempted in future. That means: two households can meet – regardless of how many underage children from the associated households are there.
Popular sport for children and young people is made possible
Training in organized sports and at special high schools for sports sponsored by the state is again permitted for children and young people up to the age of 18.
Regulations for the 4th league in men’s football
The Northeast Regional Football League will be put on an equal footing with the professional sports leagues in the 1st to 3rd division. Training and competitions are permitted in Thuringia in accordance with the infection protection concepts without a spectator.
New national guidelines for travelers returning
The federal and state governments decided on August 27, 2020 to further develop the currently applicable quarantine regulations. In any case, the responsible health department must be informed.
- What are the exceptions?
There are new special exceptions for short stays in risk areas (less than 24 hours or less than 72 hours). In addition, exceptions still apply, for example for urgently needed medical staff or those involved in the transport of goods.
