The European Commission today announced plans to provide Ukraine with an additional 1.2 billion euros.
The new EU macro-financial assistance will be aimed at maintaining financial stability in Ukraine, informs Ministry of Finance on Monday 24 January.
“We are grateful to partners from the European Union for supporting Ukraine, which will help ensure financial stability. The decision to launch a new EU macro-financial assistance program is another evidence of the high level of strategic partnership with the EU, as well as trust in our country and effective cooperation in recent years,” noted Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko.
Earlier, the European Commission announced that they would provide Ukraine this year with additional funds of 1.2 billion euros.
Recall Ukraine received the second EU tranche of 600 million euros in October last year. In total, Ukraine in 2014-2021 received 5.01 billion euros of loans from the EU as part of the implementation of five programs.
