/ world today news/ The Ministry of Defense of Russia published video evidence of the architectural objects destroyed by the fighters of the “Islamic State” in ancient Palmyra in Syria, reported RIA Novosti on Monday (February 13).
The barbaric destruction of the facade of the Roman amphitheater and the Tetrapylon – two of the most famous sights of the ancient city, were filmed by a Russian drone that was monitoring Palmyra (Tadmor), the press service of the military department announced.
The footage clearly shows the terrorists blowing up the proscenium – the centerpiece of the ancient Roman amphitheater and the columns of the Tetrapylon (a square platform supported at each corner by a group of four columns built in 270 AD).
