Cătălin Drulă, the former USR Minister of Transport, criticized on Monday for the first time the current owner of the portfolio, Sorin Grindeanu (PSD). Drulă characterized Grideanu’s statement that 80 km of highway would be under construction as a “blunder”, showing that 293 km of highway and expressway are currently under construction.
These are the first direct criticisms launched by Drula against the new Minister of Transport after taking office.
- Full post by Cătălin Drulă:
I thought it was the emotions of the beginning, but Minister Grindeanu’s blunders are gathering… Don’t know that you are working 300 km of highway and expressway and to say that “I am working somewhere over 80 kilometers” is already a lot . I attach below * the complete list of projects to make it easier to remember.
Then, related to the highway on Prahova Valley, Mr. Grindeanu is at war with the “former minister” and blunders again, not knowing that he is not referring to me, but to his government colleague, Mr. Bode. The tender for the design contract with all the terms there (wrongly quoted by the way, another blunder) is also launched with offers submitted in the mandate of Mr. Bode from 2020.
Instead of arguing with each other in government, it would be better to put pressure on the Consitrans consultant to meet the contractual terms. This is what I asked him from the hearings, after, during the 3 months of interim PNL, the design contract was abandoned.
10 months have already passed (out of the 42 of the contract, as Mr. Bode auctioned) and we are not even 5% of the necessary progress. The route of the motorway had already been completed and field investigations had to be advanced. Not to mention, the contract is in full swing. This is where Mr. should invest. Grindeanu and PSD-PNL energy, in compliance with the contractual terms by the consultant. Who knows, the former general manager of Consitrans, whom they appointed to the board of directors of the national road company CNAIR, may put a battery on them.
