Companies can now submit their projects under the first procedure for Bulgaria from the Recovery Plan – “Technological Modernization”. It has a total budget of BGN 260 million and is aimed primarily at manufacturing companies for medicines, computers or optical materials, food, beverages, clothing, etc. Enterprises that deal with the collection and disposal of waste or the recycling of materials, film and television studios, radio, television and information agencies, as well as companies with architectural, engineering or scientific research and development activities, are also eligible. com.

The application period is until September 21, 2022 and is entirely online through the ISUN 2020 system. Depending on their size and needs, companies can receive from BGN 35,000 to BGN 700,000 for the purchase of equipment with which to create new production lines and products. Support is expected to reach 700-1000 companies.

More than 3,000 more will be assisted with the next four procedures under the Recovery and Resilience Plan and under the PCIP. By the end of the summer, a grant scheme for BGN 30.6 million will be launched for ICT solutions. In the last quarter of the year, a measure of BGN 200 million will be opened for the construction of RES for own energy production. It is expected to achieve greater energy independence of enterprises.

Another BGN 118 million will be invested in SMEs that have received the “Seal of Excellence” quality mark at the competitions of the European Innovation Council. They will be able to develop innovation activities such as prototyping and technology demonstration.

More scientific research and the creation of innovations within the enterprises themselves will be financed with a pilot procedure from the “Competitiveness and Innovations in Enterprises” Program. It will have a budget of BGN 127 million and is expected to start at the end of this year. According to it companies from economic sector “C” – Processing industry will be able to apply.
