Mays Mouissi handed over 12 4X4 vehicles to tax and customs bosses on Tuesday to boost the tax revenue needed to revive the country’s economy.
« I handed over 12 vehicles to Customs and Taxes in order to equip their collection brigades to improve collection », Wrote the minister on his Twitter account. Indeed, among these vehicles eight belonged to his ministry but the latter chose to offer them to the tax and customs bosses of Gabon.
This gift offered to bosses operational services of the DGI (General Directorate of Taxes, editor’s note) and the DGDDI (General Directorate of Customs and Indirect Taxes,aims to boost the tax revenues necessary for the revival of Gabon’s economy.
Note that Mays Mouissi is putting pressure on these managements to increase public revenue, which was less the case with the fallen administration which allowed long-term strikes to flourish in this key sector of the country’s economy. Let’s learn.
