Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, received this evening, Wednesday, Mahmoud Al-Khatib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahly Club.
During the meeting, they discussed the various frameworks and legal and administrative aspects related to Al-Ahly’s request to return all financial donations that entered the club’s treasury according to what was stated in the club’s board’s decision yesterday that included removing Turki Al-Sheikh’s name from the honorary presidency’s list and returning the donations that he granted to the Red Fort.
The Minister’s meeting with the President of Al-Ahly Club discussed the study of all legal mechanisms To implement the decision of the club’s board of directors in the same matter issued on June 2, 2020, the ministry will respond to Al-Ahly after completing the study of the club’s speech in all its aspects, provided that this is done through a meeting between the legal departments of the ministry and the club.
For his part, Al-Khatib expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Minister of Youth and Sports and his keenness to create the atmosphere and solve all problems that afflict Al-Ahly and Egyptian sports in general.
