The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Luis Medina Ruiz, accompanied this initiative that aimed to immunize all police personnel against the flu and Covid.
In this regard, Medina Ruiz commented: “Once again working as a team and protecting those who care for us. Together with the Ministry of Security, we have coordinated actions side by side in the pandemic and with the minister, Dr. Eugenio Aguero Gamboa, especially in the work of protecting. We know that the most vulnerable when they get sick with the flu are: the elderly, young children, pregnant women, people who have a disease that harms them, health personnel and, of course, police personnel who are exposed tomorrow. , afternoon and night, many times without adequate sleep, or without eating correctly and that can make them vulnerable when it comes to getting sick.”
And he added: “That is why we have decided to vaccinate them here today at the sub-headquarters, then at the police school and we will also go inside at the request of the Minister. We are very happy because the police personnel are very receptive and we take the opportunity to vaccinate against the flu and also against Covid, in this way we will have the population that cares for us in the streets protected every day”.
For his part, Agüero Gamboa, highlighted: “I want to thank Dr. Medina Ruiz and all the health personnel for approaching both the Police Headquarters and the Police School to vaccinate the personnel. This is a very good measure since it brings us closer to and facilitates the vaccine so that the staff can do it quickly and return to their duties. In addition, with Dr. Medina Ruiz we have agreed to immunize the personnel who are already in the North Regional and in the East Regional, on Monday ”.
Likewise, the minister added: “In this way we will bring the vaccine closer to police personnel who require it. The security area has 1,100 troops here and the idea is to vaccinate all personnel, including those who are nearby, since the police doors are open to any neighbor who needs it. I congratulate Dr. Medina Ruiz and we will continue working on this, I also highlight the work of health personnel for all this predisposition towards police personnel.
