The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of focusing on particularly important sectors of society, such as pregnant women, and pointed out that the protection of new generations comes through the provision of advanced health programs it is effective, since the health of the mother and the fetus is a high priority, emphasizing it. that it is not just a matter of the health of the mother and the health of the fetus. .

For his part, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and the People, said that the objectives of the memorandum of understanding are aimed at increasing cooperation between the two sides in the future, with the aim of improving medical and therapeutic services, especially for women during pregnancy and childbirth, noting that this will be done through increasing awareness campaigns for pregnant women and those who to be pregnant under the name “Pregnancy Journey”, to promote healthy habits and ensure that pregnant women have a healthy baby. , proper nutrition and micronutrients that meet their nutritional needs.

Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Deputy Minister of Health and Population for Public Health Initiatives, said that the cooperation also includes the implementation of a training program for doctors in government departments in the specialty “gynecology and obstetrics,” on the latest protocols for maternal and fetal health. care, and the guidelines for the obstetrics and gynecology system will also be updated according to the provisions of the law establishing and organizing the Egyptian Health Council.

Hassani said that the collaboration will also include the launch of an electronic application for doctors that includes the latest methods of diagnosing diseases related to the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology, as well as guidelines that guarantee a safe pregnancy and good health for the mother providing advanced educational programs for doctors, presented by the most skilled experts in the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology, about the “safe birth” to called, which includes stages of preparation for pregnancy and the period of pregnancy, leading to a safe birth.

For his part, Garth Bailey, the British Ambassador to Egypt, praised the efforts of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, to support the health sector, especially health initiatives that contribute to the provision of medical services to citizen of Egypt, and expressed his full support for providing cooperation and transferring health knowledge in medical specialties, with the aim of providing distinguished services to patients.
