The minister stressed that the development of work in primary care units in the governorates aims to improve the efficiency of services provided to citizens by increasing their working hours and providing qualified human cadres. .
Dr Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that during the meeting, the minister followed developments in the work of the medical insurance plan for the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh , where he reviewed the report of the ministry’s crisis room from November 1 to 13, confirming the convening of the central crisis rooms of the ministry, Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital and sub-rooms in the governorates around the clock.
Abdel Ghaffar stressed the availability of all necessary medicines and medical supplies, as well as the availability of sufficient stocks of blood balances at the Republic level, underlining that the minister thanked all sectors of the ministry interested in the implementation of the insurance scheme for the conference in cooperation with the Directorate of Health Affairs of South Sinai Governorate, commending the professional implementation, coordination and collaboration between various sectors.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the minister directed during the meeting to develop a new system to serve citizens in hospitals in the governorates of the Republic, with the aim of facilitating patients in receiving their services, by deploying trained teams in all departments hospitals providing care to patients, indicating the implementation of such a system in Fayoum Governorate from the beginning of October 2022, according to the directives of the Minister of Health and Population.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the minister led an increase in the number of mental health clinics in hospitals, as well as the inclusion of mental health services in evening clinics in hospitals, after reviewing the plan of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and the treatment of addictions for the year 2023, underlining the ministry’s willingness to provide quality mental health services for citizens, through the implementation of a series of specialized programs and initiatives aimed at the early diagnosis of mental disorders and early intervention for treat them in accordance with international standards..
